Forging Relationships With Our Regulators

The Chairman of Virginia’s Alcohol Control Board, Esther Vassar, invited CSG’s Vice President of Community Relations, Brian Fischer, to speak to the board on the subject of responsible drinking. Mr. Fischer also serves on the Board of Directors of the Oliver W. Hill Foundation, founded to provide scholarships and internships to minorities seeking a career in civil rights law.

Responsibility Trucks

To deliver the message of responsibility across the communities we serve, Associated Distributors dedicates a significant portion of its delivery fleet to this cause. Associated Distributor trucks carry the messages: “Make Responsibility a Family Matter” and “Support Zero Tolerance for Underage Drinking and Drunk Driving.”

Engaging our Public Officials: Public Service Announcements

Associated Distributors has worked together with The Charmer Sunbelt Group’s corporate team to record public service announcements narrated by prominent elected officials and senior management at Associated Distributors. Individuals participating in this campaign include: current Governor and former Attorney General Bob McDonnell; Former Governor and DNC Chair Tim Kaine; Chairman of AD’s Managing Member Company; former Chairman of Virginia’s Alcohol Control Board Esther Vassar; Department of Motor Vehicles Commissioner D.B. Smith; and D.J. “Jimmy” Rogers Chairman, Associated Distributors.

Virginia College Parents

Associated Distributors Community Relations has contributed expertise and financially supported the efforts of Virginia College Parents, an organization chartered to educate parents about the status and safety of their children's colleges. Educational programs cover issues such as binge drinking and drug abuse on campus.
