Ben Arnold Beverage in the Community

Ben Arnold is active in numerous local charities and is dedicated to giving back to the community.  We are particularly proud of the fact that the company has received the Outstanding County Award for five consecutive years for its participation in the Adopt-A-Highway Program.

Among its many charitable activities, Ben Arnold and its associates contribute to the American Red Cross’s “Hero’s Campaign” and has donated Cargo Vans to the Fairfield County Chapter of the American Red Cross and the Fairfield County Fire Department. In addition, the company and its associates support Christmas Holiday Giving through the Palmetto Project’s “Families Helping Families” campaign. This year, the company donated a $2,000 in-kind gift to the American Heart Association for the Heart Ball, which raised $118,000 toward research and education programs to advance the mission of building lives free of cardiovascular diseases and strokes.

Ben Arnold and its dedicated associates support Fairfield County’s Good Samaritan Home, and contribute annually to Harvest Hope and Fairfield County Food Bank. Every year our associates run in the Fairfield County Alcohol Awareness 5K run which Ben Arnold proudly sponsors.

In addition, the company hosted a Legislative Dinner in March 2010 for the chairmen and committee members of Labor, Commerce and Industry Subcommittee, Business and Commerce Subcommittee and the Banking and Consumer Affairs Subcommittee of the South Carolina House of Representatives.

Ben Arnold is also an active member of the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce.

Our employees are active in South Carolina community and serve a variety of organizations including: Midlands Regional Education Center Advisory Board; the Hootie and the Blowfish Monday After the Masters Pro-Am;   South Carolina Higher Education Task Force; Keep Fairfield Beautiful; The Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce; Recreation & Tourism Management programs at USC and The College of Charleston.

Kevin Karcher, President and CEO of the Ben Arnold Beverage Company joined forces with Bobby Harrell, Speaker of the South Carolina House of Representatives to encourage parents to know where and who their children would celebrate this important rite of passage and to persuade underage children not to drink or ride with someone who had been drinking, during this 2010 prom season.  Kevin and Speaker Harrell’s message delivered to the parents of the graduating Class of 2010 via a Public Service Announcement, paid for by the Ben Arnold Beverage Company. The PSA ran from May 25th - June 5th on radio stations throughout the state.
