Ben Arnold Beverage Company presented a check for $10,000 to the Fairfield Community Food Bank on Tuesday, Nov. 23, at 12:15 p.m. at its Winnsboro location, Route 96, U.S. Highway 321, Bypass South. This is the second consecutive year that Ben Arnold has made a $10,000 donation to this deserving organization.

"Ben Arnold Beverage Company is pleased to be able to make this donation to this great organization and help our local community members at this special time of year," said President and CEO Kevin Karcher. "The down economy and unemployment continue to impose hardship on our citizens and we are grateful to be in a position to help … and I would personally like to challenge other businesses in Fairfield County to do the same!"

The Fairfield Community Food Bank has been serving the needy in Fairfield County for many years and is a critical community service providing food and nutrition to those in need.

"We greatly appreciate Ben Arnold’s donation, especially prior to Thanksgiving," said Julia Hungerpillar, coordinator of the food bank. "This donation will allow us to provide many of the ingredients to our patrons' Thanksgiving dinners."

"In fact, many in our community would not be having Thanksgiving dinner at all without the donations from Ben Arnold and other generous contributors," added Dianne Williams, assistant coordinator at the food bank.
