Joe Marotta
President and CEO
Joe Marotta became president and CEO of Beverage Distributors on July 1, 2010. Prior to this, he was with Premier Beverage, beginning in 1998 and serving as the executive vice president since 2003. In addition, he held the positions of general sales manager and managing director. Joe started his career 24 years ago with McKesson Wine and Spirits based in Miami, Florida. He then left the company and spent 10 years with the E&J Gallo Winery. Joe held various positions with Gallo including field marketing, state manager, director of college recruiting, and SE Division Manager based in Atlanta. Joe is on the boards of the Riverwalk Trust, Las Olas Association and Florida’s largest annual event, Winterfest. He is also the face of the company for numerous events, benefiting the American Lung Association and the Miami Paralysis Center. Joe received a Bachelor of Science degree in business from the University of Florida and an Executive Finance degree from Harvard.
Mark Krantz
Apex Vice President, General Manager
Mark Krantz has spent 26 years of his 28 years in the beverage alcohol industry with The Charmer Sunbelt Group. He began his industry career at McKesson Wine & Spirits as a key account manager in 1982. In 1984, he joined Beverage Distributors Company and held the positions of assistant wine manager/summit wine division, field sales manager/key account team and off-premise sales manager. In 2006, he was promoted to the position of summit vice president/general manager spirits/beer. He was appointed vice president/general manager of the Apex division in April 2009 when Bacardi and Brown Forman announced the consolidation to BDC. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Colorado State University.
Don Kiwor
Pinnacle Vice President, General Manager
Don Kiwor has held the position of Pinnacle vice president, general manager for the duration of his two years with Beverage Distributors Company. He brings 32 years of experience to the post, having begun his career at United Vintners as a sales representative in 1978. In 1980, he moved to the Jaydor Company, holding the positions of sales representative, assistant sales manager wine division, spirit marketing manager, and division manager. He moved to Reliable Liquors as the vice president of sales in 1992, then the Republic National Distributing Company where he was executive vice president sales and marketing. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from Rollins College.
J. Martin Chambers
Summit Vice President, General Manager, Wine
J. Martin Chambers has been with Beverage Distributors Company for four years. He brings 34 years of experience in the beverage alcohol industry to his position as summit vice president, general manager wine. He began his career at E&J Gallo Winery as a sales representative, eventually being promoted to the position of southeastern division marketing manager. In 1981, he moved to Wine Merchants, where he was the general sales manager. After two years, he became general sales manager at Quality Beverage, and then moved to Mountain Wine Distributing Company, where he was the general sales manager. In 1990, Martin returned to E&J Gallo Winery, where he became the Northern California wholesale division manager until 1996. He spent the next 10 years at Mountain Wine Distributing Company as the general sales manager and left in 2006 to join Beverage Distributors Company.
Dennis Richards
Summit Vice President, General Manager, Spirits and Beer
Dennis Richards has been with Beverage Distributors Company for 17 years of his 23-year career in the beverage alcohol industry. He started in the industry at Murray Brothers Distributing as a sales representative, and then moved to Pinnacle Distributing Company in 1990, where he held the positions of sales representative, key account sales, field sales manager, and beer sales manager. In 1995, he moved to M2 Beverage Marketing where he held the position of regional sales manager for three years. He then moved to Beverage Distributors Company, where he has held the positions of beer sales manager, off-premise sales manager and director of programming, spirits and beer, before being promoted to his current position of vice president, general manager. He holds a degree from Metropolitan State University.
John Johnson
Vice President, General Manager, Operations
Having begun his career as an operations manager trainee, John Johnson has risen through the industry ranks to his current position of vice president, general manager, operations. He brings 34 years of experience to his post, including 10 years at McKesson Wine and Spirits as director of operations, and 12 years at Tarrant Distributors as executive vice president of operations. John joined Beverage Distributors Company as vice president, general manager operations, in 1997, a position he holds today. He is a member of the Chaine des Rotisseurs and the Ordre Mondial. He received his degree from the University of Arizona.
Jeff Ryckman
Vice President, Information Technologies
Jeff Ryckman joined Beverage Distributors Company since 2000, when he assumed his role as vice president, information technologies. During his career, he has held the positions of systems programmer at Amoco Oil Co., data center manager at Rio Blanco Oil Shale Co., systems programmer at Amoco Minerals, manager, Information Center at Cyprus Minerals, and account manager at Cyprus Minerals and Total Petroleum. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in computer science from Indiana University.
John Slater
Director of Purchasing and Transportation
John Slater has spent his entire career with Beverage Distributors Company, and has learned every aspect of his job beginning as a truck driver, then rising to fleet manager, distribution manager, director of purchasing, and finally his current position of director of purchasing and transportation. He served in the United States Air Force, and the United States Air National Guard.
Linda Hollman
Director of Human Resources
Linda Hollman has been with Beverage Distributors Company since 2000, beginning as a human resources manager and ultimately assuming her current role of director of human resources. Previously, she held the position of human resource director at CAPCO from 1995 to 2000. She is a member of the National Human Resource Council and the Society for Human Resource Management.
Marie Adiutori
Sales Analysis/SAP Manager
Marie Adiutori has been with Beverage Distributors Company for 31 years, beginning her career in Supplier A/R, then rising to become office manager and eventually assuming her current role as a business process manager. She is a member of the National Hispanic Society of MBAs and received her degree from Regis University.
Justin Voigts
Chief Financial Officer
Justin Voigts joined Beverage Distributors Company in 2007, after having served at Ernst & Young LLP for five years. He is a certified public accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Butler University.
