Engaging Our Public Officials: Public Service Announcements

The Charmer Sunbelt Group has created public service announcements focused on responsibility. In order to effectively deliver this message, we have engaged leaders from the community to join our house presidents in recording these messages. The leaders who have joined this effort include:

Partnering With Industry Members

CSG has also partnered with the Federal Trade Commission, the Century Council, the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA) and the American Beverage Licensees (ABL) to support the “We Don’t Serve Teens” campaign. CSG houses distributed point-of-purchase materials to retailers and community organizations across our markets with key responsibility messages. 

Partnering With Our Suppliers

In 2009, CSG was awarded the first “Platinum Golden Bar Award” from Diageo for creating innovative and effective initiatives that promote industry goodwill and advance the legal and responsible sale and consumption of beverage alcohol.   

Urging Responsible Tailgating

In one of its most high-profile and effective endeavors, CSG created Tailgaters Urging Responsibility and Fun, or TURF, a multi-faceted program to raise awareness of responsible alcohol consumption surrounding the time-honored tradition of pre-game tailgating. Some of TURF's objectives include encouraging responsible drinking before and during sporting events, supporting strict enforcement and zero tolerance for consumption of beverage alcohol for anyone under 21 years of age, and demonstrating how responsible consumption can enhance the game experience.
