The Charmer Sunbelt Group (CSG) is pleased to announce two outstanding honors given to Beverage Distributors Company (BDC), its member company in Colorado: Corporate Advocate of the Year, awarded by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Denver, and Company of the Year, received from the Aurora Chamber of Commerce.
"I could not be more pleased to see BDC recognized for our continued involvement within our community," said Joseph Marotta, president of Beverage Distributors Company. "Being active and giving back is a core value for our associates and to receive this recognition from these great organizations is a real honor for all of us at Beverage Distributors."
The Corporate Advocate of the Year award, given jointly with Diageo, recognizes outstanding leadership and support in the Hispanic community. Companies were evaluated based on business success, involvement with organizations and committees, and Hispanic business outreach. The award was presented as part of the chamber's 28th Annual Business Awards luncheon, attended by Governor of Colorado John Hickenlooper and Mayor of Denver Michael Hancock. With over 2,500 members, the Hispanic Chamber is the state's largest minority chamber and the second-largest Chamber of Commerce in Colorado.
As Company of the Year, Beverage Distributors was recognized for outstanding service as a business member of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce. The honor is given to a company that has contributed to the community and quality of life through its business practices, employees and community involvement. The award was presented at a dinner in Aurora.
