CSG Named Top Technology Innovator by InformationWeek

The Charmer Sunbelt Group (CSG) was once again acknowledged by the InformationWeek 500, the annual listing of the nation’s most innovative users of business technology. The 2011 list was revealed on Sept. 13 at an awards ceremony at the InformationWeek 500 Conference. With this award, its second in as many years, CSG joins a select group of elite organizations such as Hilton Hotels, National Semiconductor and Kimberly-Clark, all past winners.

“This award is a testament to how CSG's applies technology to delight our customers and suppliers," said Paul Fipps, CSG’s chief information officer and vice president of business services. "By recognizing us, InformationWeek distinguishes our leadership in the wine and spirits industry.  I am extremely proud of our IT organization and the support we deliver to our business units.”

“I am thrilled at this accomplishment,” said Greg Baird, CSG’s COO. “It is great to see The Charmer Sunbelt Group recognized among technology innovators from other industries.  It is even more remarkable that CSG achieved this accolade for two straight years.  Our commitment to innovation will continue to make CSG the distributor of choice for our suppliers and customers.”

InformationWeek identifies and honors the nation's most innovative users of information technology with its annual 500 listing and also tracks the technology, strategies, investments, and administrative practices of America’s best-performing companies. The InformationWeek 500 list is unique among corporate rankings as it spotlights the power and benefits of innovation in information technology.
