The Charmer Sunbelt Group (CSG) has announced that Washington Wholesale has been appointed by Freixenet USA, recently named Importer of the Year by the Monterey Wine Competition, to exclusively distribute the Freixenet USA portfolio in Washington, D.C., effective Oct. 1.
This move further solidifies CSG’s relationship with this renowned maker of traditional-method sparkling wine. For some time, Freixenet brands have been proudly sold by CSG houses in Metro and Upstate New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Arizona, and Delaware.
“The Charmer Sunbelt Group is pleased that Freixenet USA, in recognition of our already successful relationship, has appointed Washington Wholesale as its exclusive distributor in the District of Columbia,” said Greg Baird, CSG’s chief operating officer. “I am confident the D.C. team will deliver the focus and dedication required to achieve Freixenet USA’s goals.”
“Freixenet USA is committed to driving the long-term growth of our portfolio, not only in the Washington, D.C., market, but across America,” said Tom Burnet, president of Freixenet America. “The Charmer Sunbelt Group has been a high-performing partner with us over many years and in multiple markets. We are excited about this change, and have strong confidence that, working together, we will achieve our mutual goals.”
