The Charmer Sunbelt Group is proud to have been awarded LEED Silver certification for their new state-of-the-art Premier Beverage Distribution Center in Tampa, Florida. The LEED Silver certification recognizes Premier Beverage’s efforts to conserve the earth’s resources while providing quality delivery services to thousands of customers across Florida. This facility is the largest LEED-certified industrial building in the state of Florida.

“It is a testament to the hard work of our associates and building partners that this 570,000-square-foot facility was built in only 10 months," said Bob Drinon, President and CEO of Premier Beverage. "Given the growth of Premier’s business in Florida, that rapid pace was essential. I’m also proud that this project provided substantial economic value to the community. It improved the existing site conditions and watershed, but also created numerous construction jobs and improved the traffic infrastructure for the surrounding neighborhood.”

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification is awarded by the United States Green Building Council for buildings designed and built using strategies to improve energy savings, water efficiency, emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their impacts. Many projects around the country invest significant resources pursuing this accolade, but receiving this recognition is rare. It is even rarer for this certification to be bestowed upon an industrial facility.
