Premier Unveils New Facility

State-of-the-Art Distribution Center LEED Certified

Local political dignitaries and Premier Beverage executives recently celebrated the grand opening of Tampa's newest state-of-the-art distribution center. Premier Beverage's brand-new facility provides significant economic benefits to the community and allows the distributor to serve its suppliers and customers more efficiently.

Elected officials Ken Hagen, Hillsborough County commissioner; Bruce Register, manager, corporate business development for the Economic Development department; and other local officials joined Charles Merinoff, vice chairman and chief executive officer of The Charmer Sunbelt Group, and PremTampa warehouseier's president, Bob Drinon, for the grand opening celebration.

Guests toured the new facility to see the "green" characteristics of the building and property.

This distribution center is the largest LEED-eligible project in Florida. Featuring a reflective, white TPO roof system, storm water collection locations for irrigation, sustainable building products, and a highly efficient water-cooled, chilled-water HVAC system, this environmentally friendly development qualifies for "Silver" level of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification and is currently under review by the U.S. Green Building Council. Additionally, the new facility boasts 13,000 linear feet of conveyor system, a high-speed combiner and a sorter that runs at 9,000 cases per hour. Premier Beverage selected Tampa-based RR Simmons to design and construct this state-of-the-art facility.
