Turkey Drive

For the third year in a row, the employees of Washington Wholesale donated 100 turkey dinners to families in need. Councilmember Harry Thomas Jr. joined Kevin Dunn, president of Washington Wholesale, to oversee the giveaway to Ward Five’s neediest.

The Washington Wholesale team joins in both the planning and execution of this annual event. Our staff spends hours preparing the dinner bags with a 16-pound turkey and all the fixings. This Thanksgiving tradition allows our employees to participate in giving back to the community.

 “Washington Wholesale is committed to Washington, D.C., and our commitment includes helping the less fortunate," Dunn said. "In these challenging times we are pleased to be able to support the residents of Ward 5 in the district during this holiday season. Together with Councilman Thomas, we’re making an investment in our community and making a difference."

Haiti Earthquake Relief

In January 2010, Washington Wholesale and our sister house Reliable Churchill contributed $5,000 to the American Red Cross for relief of the earthquake victims in Haiti. This was matched at $2.00 on the $1.00 by our parent organization The Charmer Sunbelt Group, for a total contribution of $15,000.
