As part of their commitment to the community and veterans in particular, Washington Wholesale and William Grant teamed up to host a group of soldiers from Walter Reed Hospital and their guests on Sept. 6 to see the season-opening Navy football game at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
The soldiers enjoyed an afternoon of food, drinks and a great football game in a suite at the stadium. Navy played the University of Maryland, College Park, in a hardfought contest, with Maryland prevailing, 17 to 14. The guests were also treated to a visit with Governor Martin O'Malley outside the stadium.
Also in attendance and hosting the event were Kevin Dunn, president of Washington Wholesale and Reliable Churchill; Mick Halbreiner (USNA '74); Howard Greenberg, director of sales at Washington Wholesale; and John Walsh, regional manager for William Grant.
