Washington Wholesale continued its tradition of giving back to the community it serves when it held its Thanksgiving giveaway on Nov. 23 for Ward Five's neediest. Council member Harry Thomas Jr. joined Kevin Dunn, president of Washington Wholesale, to oversee the event.
The team at Washington Wholesale participates in both the planning and execution of this annual event. The staff spends hours preparing the dinner bags, which contain a 16-pound turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, yams, green beans, and cornbread. This Thanksgiving tradition allows employees to participate in giving back to the community. Washington Wholesale associates give a full day of their time preparing the packages and distributing them. It's a great way to start the holiday season.
“Washington Wholesale is committed to Washington, D.C., and our commitment includes helping the less fortunate," Dunn said. "In these challenging times we are pleased to be able to support the residents of Ward Five in the district during this holiday season. Together with Councilman Thomas, we’re making an investment in our community and making a difference.”
