Zinzi Christmas Party 2010

Over $50,000 was raised for local charities when the Zinzi Christmas Party was held on Dec. 19 at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, D.C. The party, which has grown tremendously since its inception, is now co-sponsored by nearly four dozen corporations and local businesses. It has become a major holiday event for D.C.'s bar, restaurant and nightclub industry.

Washington Wholesale supports this event with a donation of over $5,000, in addition to providing fun holiday cocktails for attendees. Participating brands this year included Grey Goose Flavors, Bacardi Rok Coco, Jack Daniel's, Chambord Vodka, Tuaca, SoCo, Don Julio, Crown Royal, Hennessy, Grand Marnier, Ketel One, and Patron.

In 1987 Frank Zinzi and his sons Frank Jr. and Chris held the first Zinzi Christmas Party in their home in the suburbs of Washington D.C. for family and friends to get together. The party grew each year until the backyard could no longer hold the large volume of guests. By 1997, the Zinzi Christmas Party had evolved into a full-fledged fund-raiser benefitting Saint Ann's Infant & Maternity Home and one other charity. Thousands of dollars have been raised by the party over the years for various local and national charities.
