To become a customer at United Distributors of Delaware LLC, the account needs to be licensed through the Delaware Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission. Each account is issued a license number and a notification is sent out to the wholesalers in the state prior to any deliveries. After we receive the new account information, we create an account in our database and assign sales associates for every division at United.
Each sales associate visits the account and introduces themselves and the company portfolio that they represent. Credit applications are provided and required to have charge terms. After an initial order is put together, the sales teams continue to build a relationship with the customer fulfilling order replenishment needs at their location. Often merchandisers are used to create displays used at peak season or holidays.
Deliveries are made on specified days of the week which the customer can depend upon for making arrangements at their account for receipt; however, if there is a necessary need of a product on an additional day, the warehouse and distribution center accommodate the customer whenever possible.
Surveys are completed with Charmer Sunbelt Group associates or local supplier representatives to keep the standards of performance that are expected at the executive level. This tool is valuable for new marketing strategies for brand-specific placement and overall performance of the sales associate.
The end result of the whole process of being a customer is to have a prosperous and mutually beneficial relationship.
